About 

Born in 1970, Kate grew up with a passion for music, art and dance. Encouraged by her parents who made sure she was never very far away from a box of crayons she steadily became fascinated and inspired by the world of nature, particularly flowers. Although she received no formal art training she continued to sketch into adulthood whilst dreaming of being a choreographer. 

In 1999, after a brief stint enrolled in full time ballet school she hung up her pointe shoes and set up her own company designing, producing and selling tapestry needlepoint kits. However it wasn't until 2007 that photography began to appear on her radar. The real revelation came one day when  Kate placed a flower on her flatbed scanner and was mesmerised by the quality of light, reminiscent of the old Dutch Masters. She began experimenting with the scans, developing a unique process where the raw scans were then digitally painted pixel by pixel, capturing and magnifying detail often invisible to the naked eye.

It has taken over six years of perfecting and refining this process in order to  bring these flower creations to life so that they may be realised as full scale, limited edition fine art prints. Innovations in the print industry, particularly with digital printing on fabrics are now signalling a time for Kate to turn her attention to the world of fashion and interiors. With three successful collaborations already under her belt with acclaimed British fashion designer Suzannah she is excited about what the future holds for her flowers.
